      Privacy Commitment: PointsVault ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy.
      We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information.
      PointsVault is an independent rewards-tracking tool and is not affiliated with any bank, airline, or hotel program.
    

1. Information We Process

PointsVault is designed to work without an account. The information we process depends on how you use the app:

Portfolio Data (on-device): Card, airline, and hotel rewards balances you enter, along with your app preferences, are stored locally on your device.
Account Information (optional): If you choose to sign in to enable cloud sync, we process the email address and password you provide, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
Synced Content (optional): If cloud sync is enabled, the portfolio data you choose to sync is stored securely in your account.

2. How We Use Information

Your information is used strictly to:

Display your rewards balances, valuations, and status tiers.
Recommend the best card to use for a given purchase category.
Send optional local reminders (for example, expiring miles or unused free-night certificates).
Back up and sync your portfolio across your devices if you enable cloud sync.

3. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, PointsVault schedules local reminders on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

4. Third-Party Services

When you enable cloud sync, authentication and data storage are provided by Supabase over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not use advertising networks, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Data Retention & Control

You are in control of your data. You may edit or remove your portfolio information at any time within the app, sign out to stop cloud sync, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

PointsVault is a general-audience personal finance tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Legal Disclaimer

PointsVault is an informational rewards-tracking tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or credit advice. Point valuations are estimates and may differ from actual redemption values. All third-party program names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
